Watch Modding
I started watch modding when I had in mind a very specific design and color-scheme I wanted for a watch, but I couldn't find a single one that existed that met my criteria, so I decided to build my own. It turns out that you can just order some parts, and some assembly tools, from AliExpress, and make your own custom watches.
First Build
My first build is the only one where I documented the steps. I wasn't really trying to make a great watch, I just got the cheapest parts I could find, so I wouldn't be worried about messing up on my first build.
Tennessee Watch
My first foray into true customization - a Tennessee-themed dial. The Volunteers logo in the center, flanked by Nashville hot chicken (which my brother thought would be hilarious to have on a 'fancy watch') and the stars from the TN state flag. 'Water susceptible' because my brother also thought that would be hilarious, considering I assembled them...
Guardia di Finanza
Not one that I made myself, but I do think it's very interesting, and perhaps worth posting. A 'Guardia di Finanza' watch I bought for cheap at a flea market in Belgrade. I haven't been able to find photos of the same design, only a similar one, so perhaps it's a much older batch. I'd like to think it landed in Belgrade when it was ironically pawned by its owner. Pictured outside its rightful home - though I'm not giving it back, sorry.
